Game time spent in possession of the ball

All data courtesy of Opta. How is this chart created? Opta reports on possession statistics and these are used to calculated minutes per game the team was in possession of the ball. This is then summed for each season. The circular ring chart is plotted using this percentage of secured possession multiplied by two times π to calculate the length of the arc. The longer the arc, the more the team held the ball.
